Privacy notice

1. Who we are

pixelquestia.com ("Pixelquest", "we") is an independent editorial crew that publishes a monthly set of free pixel-art mobile games. For any question about personal data, write to [email protected].

2. What we collect

3. Purposes and legal basis

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), we rely on your consent to collect, use and disclose personal information, and we limit collection to what is needed for the purposes below:

4. Alerts and email: OneSignal

Subscriptions and notifications are handled by OneSignal, acting as our service provider. When you submit the form, your email and the subscription tags (site domain, name and phone if given, source) are sent to OneSignal; if you accept the browser prompt, a push identifier is also created for your device. We use these only to deliver the alert about the new set — we do not sell them and do not use them for advertising profiling. OneSignal may process data outside Canada, including in the United States, under contractual safeguards; where data is processed abroad it may be accessible to foreign courts and authorities under local law. You can revoke the permission from your browser settings at any time.

5. Who receives the data

Data may be processed, each within its function, by: the hosting and network provider, the analytics service, the ad networks that serve ads, and OneSignal for email and push. We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

6. Retention

7. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, request a correction, and withdraw your consent at any time (which does not affect processing already carried out). Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) — 30 Victoria Street, Gatineau, Quebec K1A 1H3, www.priv.gc.ca.

8. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to management tools is limited to the crew members who need it, protected by individual credentials. We collect the minimum necessary, which is also the simplest way to reduce risk.

9. Children

The site is intended for an adult audience and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have received a child's data without a parent's or guardian's consent, we delete it.

10. Changes

If we update this notice we will change the date above; for significant changes we will also flag it on the home page.
